Research Associate, Analytical Chemist

This person will run methods to characterize small molecules, polymers, and formulated mixtures with both established and novel techniques.

Responsibilities

This role will require daily interaction with stake holders in many disciplines, and the presentation of written and oral summaries of progress to management. Sigilon Therapeutics operates a diverse array of analytical equipment and maintains a safe laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Degree in analytical chemistry or related field (B.S. or M.S.) with 0 to 5 years of industrial
experience
• Good working knowledge of chromatography systems (LC/GC/IC) and data analysis
• Skilled interpreter of LCMS, IR, and UV/Vis spectra
• Knowledge and/or interest in materials and trace impurity characterization (e.g., viscosity, texture analysis, XPS, SIMS, AFM, contact angle, refractive index, ICP-MS, AA, SEC/MALLS, image analysis)
• Interest or experience in running spectrometric methods in-line with industrial processes (GLP and GMP)
• Experience with contemporary computer software: electronic laboratory notebooks, Microsoft Office, and SciFinder
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and established collaborative working habits
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be available to start work in the immediate future
• Must have authorization to work in the United States
